Students at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls rise to the challenge of new GCSE examinations
In a year that saw new GCSE examinations across virtually all subjects, students at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls once again achieved an incredible set of outstanding results.
38.2% of all entries achieved the very top grade of 9 and 83% of all results were graded at A*-A or 7 and above. A phenomenal 47 students achieved 8 or above (A* in the old GCSE grading system) in all of their examinations and 101 students passed all 9 subjects at 7+, A or A* grade. A remarkable 11 students achieved grade 9/A* in all subjects.

“I am delighted that the hard work of our students over the last five years has been rewarded by such fantastic GCSE results. These achievements also reflect the dedication of our teachers and the quality of the support provided by our staff. We are extremely proud of each and every one of our students and I would like to congratulate them on their achievements.”
